UMACO announces the Infraotel Omsk



UMACO has acquired a land plot in Omsk with the intention to build a hotel and an office building within two years. Infraotel Omsk, the 155-room property, is scheduled to welcome the first guests in Q3 2010. With this acquisition UMACO begins the roll out of the Infraotel brand. The innovative Infraotel concept will be a great addition to the city’s hotel market, where the today’s current room count is 0.7 rooms per 1000 inhabitants. The management company of Infraotel Omsk will be Umaco Management. Omsk is the 5th largest city in Russia, and the second largest city beyond the Ural mountains. Omsk is located a 3 hour flight from Moscow and it is the cross-junction of highways in the central part of Russian Federation Passenger and freight boats along the Irtysh and the Ob Rivers provide connection from coal and mineral-mining towns in Kazakhstan, as well as oil, natural gas and lumber-rich northern Siberia. Scheduled and charter flights link Omsk Central Airport with multiple domestic and international (primarily, German) destinations, making it an important air gateway to Siberia and the Far East. The Infraotel Omsk will be located close to the central airport, within close proximity of the Omsk city center, central railway station and the city’s main access roads (15 minute drive by car). Besides 155 rooms including 8 junior suites services will comprise a buffet and an ? la carte restaurant, a lobby bar, meeting & leisure facilities including fitness room, sauna and steam room.
