UMACO granted planning permission for Infraotel Omsk.

Developer and Operator UMACO has been granted planning permission to build the 11 000 sq m Infraotel Omsk. The $ 24 million Omsk development will mark the first in a chain of Infraotel Hotels throughout the Russian Federation. This mid range business hotel is set to revolutionize the hotel industry in Russia. A combination of superior architectural design and unique build specifications ensure all Infraotels conform to the same interior and exterior design. UMACO has developed a hotel concept which allows for shorter build time, greater comfort for guests and maximised returns for investors. The Infraotel Omsk will have 155 rooms at an average room rate of ? 100. Guests will be equipped with everything they need to be effective while travelling on business or pleasure as the hotel will boast a comprehensive range of facilities including: • Free Wi-Fi • Conference Facilities • 2 x Bars • Restaurant UMACO Development General Director, Sergey Prokofiev, who is overseeing the Infraotel Omsk development, expressed his delight at the decision to grant planning permission: “The clear signal we have been given today is that the city of Omsk welcomes this kind of market leading investment and we are eager to begin construction. We anticipate being able to welcome our first guests in late 2010.” The Infraotel Omsk development is set to be a welcome addition to the city as it will create up 100 permanent jobs for local residents. UMACO president, Alexander Udalov says Omsk was a natural location for the first Infraotel development: “Omsk is blessed with an expanding importance in the Russian economy given its strategic location and the high calibre of the local work force.” UMACO intend to roll out a further 50 Infraotel sites across Russia within the next six years.
